Private, in-home foundations tailored to you and your dog. For clients who prefer a more personalised approach. our 1:1 Home Foundation Course delivers the same core foundations as our group classes, but entirely within your home environment.
This course is designed for families who value clarity, structure, and bespoke guidance from the very beginning.

Course Structure

The course is delivered over 5 weeks and is intentionally front-loaded with education to ensure owners feel confident, informed, and prepared.

Session 1 – 1.5 hours (Educational & Practical Foundation Session)

This extended first session allows us to build strong foundations before moving into weekly training.

During this session we cover:

  • An overview of dog law and owner responsibility
  • Nutrition guidance and how food impacts behaviour
  • Resource guarding prevention and early warning signs
  • Correct dog equipment and why it matters
  • Children and dogs living safely together
  • Household rules, boundaries, and consistency
  • Any additional topics relevant to your dog and lifestyle

Time allowing, we will also introduce a small number of key commands so you have clear, practical exercises to work on before the next session.

Sessions 2 to 5 – 45 minutes each

These sessions focus on hands-on training and progression.

Common focus areas include:

  • Calm behaviour in the home
  • Jumping up and over-excitement
  • Place and settling behaviours
  • Recall foundations
  • Loose lead walking foundations
  • Managing arousal and impulse control
  • Clear communication and follow-through

Each session is adapted week by week based on progress and feedback.
